DESCRIPTION:
EXTINGOSE is an automatic fire suppressor for use in confined spaces such as electrical cabinets and combustion engine cowling. It comes in the form of a flexible plastic tube (internal diameter 18 mm) filled with a pressurized extinguishing agent. EXTINGOSE is fixed with plastic ties, When a fire ignites, the heat causes the tube to burst as soon as the temperature reaches 100 to 120 degrees C and the released agent extinguishes the fire.
EXTINGOSE is supplied in standard lengths of 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5 meters depending on the volume of the confined space to be protected. The length is fitted with a pressure gauge at one end and a plug at the other. Both fittings are made of stainless steel. The tube is made of translucent plastic resistant to heat (up to 80 degrees C), to UV, to most alcohols, bases, ethers, ketone, hydrocarbons, mineral oils, standard fuels, salt solutions and organic acids.
EXTINGOSE is designed to remain inert in temperatures of -40 to 80 degrees C and has a shelf life of 6 years.

APPLICATION:
Depending on the volume of the protected area, suitable protected areas for the system include but are not limited to:
A. Inboard engine compartment;
B. Engine compartment in road vehicles: cars, SUVs, vans, recreational vehicles, minibuses, etc.;
C. Off-highway vehicle engine compartment: ATV, small tractor, forklift, small construction machinery, golf cart, lawn mower, etc.;
D. Distribution boxes, fuse boxes, server cabinets, electrical boxes, etc.
E. Energy storage system.
SPECIFICATIONS:
INSTALLATION:
EXTINGOSE is supplied with plastic clips allowing a fixation every 25 cm. EXTINGOSE should be placed within 1 meter of the possible source(s) of fire, taking the following precautions for maximum efficiency:
1. do not bend the tube into sharp angles;
2. avoid obstructions preventing direct line of sight between the source and EXTINGOSE;
3. avoid contact of EXTINGOSE with sharp objects, corners;
4. fasten EXTINGOSE to a firm immobile support;
5. no contact with surface likely to be warmer than 80 degrees C;
6. avoid contact with chemicals, and with galvanized or zinc coated supports which could cause galvanic corrosion to the plastic tube.
IMPORTANT NOTES:
F200 is not suitable for fires of some chemicals such cellulose nitrate and gun powder which are capable to oxidize without air. Similarly, it is not suitable for fires of reactive metals such as lithium, sodium, potassium, manganese, titanium, zirconium, uranium and plutonium.
It is not toxic to humans but exposure should be limited (5 minutes maximum).The extinguishing agent is heavier than air and will tend to dissipate at ground level.
Disposal of EXTINGOSE after use must be in accordance with local waste management regulations. If unused, EXTINGOSE should be returned to the supplier.
